What comes next?
Is your spouse making your life a little bit harder?
Or is he abusive, scary, and making sure you don’t call a lawyer?
I can help.
Part life coach, part best friend, part internet auntie, and trained as an attorney, I provide guidance and support whether your divorce is contested or uncontested; whether you have custody, visitation, or financial disagreements; and whether your parents are still happily married or had a contentious divorce of their own.
Don’t let divorce scare you.
I’m divorced. I’m also a mom, a stepmom, a wife, and a lawyer.
I negotiated my own divorce settlement after investing over $125,000 on attorneys’ fees.
My (second) husband is wonderful and my (one bio and one step) kids are amazing.
I’m here to help you explore options —
to plan out tough conversations, and to think through whether you need a pitbull of a divorce attorney or a collaborative mediator, and to support your healing.
We’ll talk through what your next steps are, including when and whether to file for divorce (including the time and financial commitment necessary),
— and then we’ll make a plan for living your best life.
Divorce is hard.
I’ve been through it.
I’m a divorced mom with a daughter and stepson,
and lots of personal experience in family court.
Each divorce is as unique as each marriage.
For the last 10 years, I have asked friends, neighbors, colleagues, mentors, and the other moms at school whether they or their parents are divorced. I dedicated my spare time to learning about divorce from other people, from books, from attorneys, and in my personal lived experience.
I also have professional experience.
I am a lawyer, admitted to the New York State Bar in 2015. I worked in a law firm prior to becoming a lawyer, and have nearly 15 years of professional legal experience. As an attorney, I practiced employment law, where I navigated discriminatory bosses and practices, murky leave policies, and confusing disciplinary situations.
I would love to connect. Let’s make sure you are well taken care of.
Remember: I am not your lawyer!
